Perfectly fine hotel. Not super modern but adequately equipped. We had the two bedroom apartment which was large enough and clean.
Location in the city center is perfect.
We spent three nights between Christmas and New Year in a suite located in an annex to this venerable hotel on Schiermonnikoog. It was more like a well equipped apartment including a full kitchen with equipment for longer stays. Besides some spider web here and there it was clean and only abut 100 m from the main hotel, next to the tourist information centre. Beds were excellent and so was the shower. A shoehorn was missing. Breakfast was basic at best and you were received without any emotions with the exception of the sympathetic waiter from Tenerife who served us for dinner upon our arrival on the island. The hotel has its own free bus service taking you to the ferry 30 min before its departure.
The restaurant has really nice food, and even better desserts! Treat for the eyes as well. The continental breakfast was really nice and fresh. Good coffee as well.
Stayed in a two bedroom apartment, very nice with decent beds and a good kitchen with dishwasher. It was a bit noisy with neighbors, but they walked with heals over a stone floor. There’s no solution for that I guess 😂 Very pleasant stay with all nice and friendly staff. Would recommend!
Lovely hotel with an attentive owner. The rooms are not luxurious but perfectly comfortable. The location is spectacular - probably the best in town - and the food in the accompanying restaurant is delicious and not outrageously expensive at all.

Not too good.. old fashioned, high priced, room was very dirty when we came. But location is top notch.
Opposite the famous Hotel Van der Werff this hotel is a bit more renovated, but still pretty average. The rooms are rather simple. The breakfast is good, so all in all I prefer this hotel above hotel Van der Werff, although it definitely has less history and nostalgia.
